Welcome to The Music Lab School Of Modern Music. We are happy that you have chosen to visit our web site and hope to fill you in on what we are all about! We are a fully operational music school with a roster of over 749 students and growing. The Music Lab was established in 1990 for musicians by musicians intending to create an atmosphere for the total musician. The building itself originated in the early 1900s and had its beginning as, believe it or not, a blacksmith shop which contributes to its historical feel. As you enter the front door, you will immediately notice the warmth and charm that are so much a part of The Music Lab. The Music Lab, with its cottage like feel and elegant lighting, showcases a variety of acoustic and electric guitars that adorn the pine paneled walls. Lining the ceiling are autographed photos of various celebrity artists. The sprawling black leather couches invite guests to relax as they await their appointments.

The Music Lab was created to provide an environment where potential could be realized, cultivated, and ultimately, dreams could be fulfilled. The Music Lab School of Modern music operates on diverse levels. Our students range from ages 6 to 86. Whether your style is Jazz, Blues, Country, Rock, Gospel, or Classical, this is the place that will make it happen. The Music Lab offers classes in acoustic/electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano, voice, violin, and courses in songwriting and recording. Some students may be eligible to recieve credits toward graduation.

Our teaching staff consists of a group of highly skilled, college educated individuals with various degrees. They are fun, friendly and creative in their teaching methods. They work at the students skill and pace level to develop their talent and meet their individual needs. The Music Lab offers regular recitals and in-house concerts featuring Music Lab students and the instructors themselves and various other well known artists.

The Music Lab is also equiped with a new full scale state of the art digital recording studio and the expertise of our very own in-house, seasoned engineers. The studio is available for recording albums, commercials and demos for potential promotion. We are also an authorized retail sales outlet for Fender Guitar and have a wide variety of merchandise, from acoustic/electric guitars and amplifiers to violins and brass instruments for sale or rent. We also have your everyday merchandise needs such as strings, picks, and drumsticks. If we don't have it, we can get it. Our prices are the best around and we guarantee we will not be undersold!

Our normal operating hours are Mon through Fri 1:00 to 9:00 and Sat from 8:00AM to 4:00PM.

The Music Lab has become a household name in Yorba Linda and is proud to be actively involved in community events, school activities, church functions, and promotion of large scale concert events in our area.
